MONEY SAVING IDEAS FOR PETS!!!
FOR GUINEA PIGS:
Most of you may be familiar with the so-called "starter kits" for guinea pigs. You know, those 1x2 cages with a little bit of bedding and a small packet of food and maybe a treat. Why do you think they are called "starter" kits. The supplies included in the kit are only temporary. Small bag of food, small bag of bedding & small cage.
Many people would just upgrade to those 100$+ cages.
But instead of upgrading to those expensive cages, there is a much much much cheaper, more spacious option.
This option is called a C&C cage. C&C stands for cubes and coroplast. Or corrugated plastic.
The cubes are actually storage cubes you can buy at *some* walmarts.
The price usually ranges around 50$ depending on size. You can buy the coroplast at sign shops.

I currently have a C&C cage with fleece. And it is AWESOME. It's a complete time saver for me. I use 2 fleece a week. I change the fleece every wednesday night, and wash it every thursday. I just switch it out, every week.
I love it, and I've given up bedding. I still use it in their litter boxes though. I recommend this for any and every piggy.
FOR HAMSTERS:
BIN CAGES!!!! They are one of the most wonderful, hamster inventions on the planet. So easy and cheap to make. You just take a plastic Storage Bin and add your hamsters regular in-cage supplies. EASY. *Note* If you have other pets like cats or dogs you may want to put the cage out of reach or you can put the storage bin lid on the cage. Just cut or drill or poke holes in the plastic lid.
I currently use this for my hamster Sweet Pea and it works great! Just make sure the plastic has smooth sides so they can't grab anything climb or chew their way out. I HIGHLY recommend this :)
